David Dickson

David Dickson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in intellectual property and licensing at Oregon State University, serving as the Senior IP & Licensing Manager since 2013. In this role, David collaborates closely with researchers and inventors in engineering and the physical sciences to manage invention disclosures, intellectual property protection, and licensing agreements. David's leadership capabilities are demonstrated through positions such as President of the Corvallis Triathlon Club and Facilitator for the Energy Action Team at the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition. Additionally, David has held roles including Head Coach, Board Member, Internship Coordinator, Academic Advisor, Postdoctoral Scholar, and Graduate Research Assistant. Educationally, David holds a PhD in Biological & Ecological Engineering and an MS in Materials Science from Oregon State University, alongside a BS in Environmental Engineering from Yale University and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business.
