Ariel Lessens

Director, Patron Services at Oregon Symphony

Ariel Lessens is currently a Patron Services Representative at Oregon Symphony. Ariel has held this position since August 2021. Prior to that, they were the Guest Services Manager at OMSI from December 2016 to August 2021. In that role, they led, mentored, trained, recruited, and scheduled up to 25 guest services representatives, supervisors, and assistant manager to provide superior guest experience. Ariel also assisted in maintaining membership households and gaining new members. In addition, they communicated and collaborated cross-departmentally with volunteer services, marketing, events, and development to achieve day-to-day operational success.

Before their time at OMSI, Ariel was the Front Office Manager at Hilton Worldwide from July 2014 to December 2016. In that role, they orchestrated front office operations for 782 rooms across 2 buildings. Ariel also lead, mentored, trained, recruited, and scheduled up to 30+ staff members, including union staff. Additionally, they maximized room revenue and up-sell opportunities to meet and exceed budgets. Furthermore, they worked together with housekeeping, events, catering, and food and beverage to ensure seamless guest experience. During their time at Hilton Worldwide, they grew the Hilton Honors Loyalty enrollment program to be top 3 in company.

Ariel Lessens has a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University. Ariel is also certified from Dale Carnegie Training in Dale Carnegie Leadership Course, National Restaurant Association in Servsafe Certified, Cvent in CVENT, and Great Lansing Convention and Visitor's Bureau in Certified Tourism Ambassador.
