Kurt Belser

Kurt Belser currently serves as the Inspections Deputy Director and Inspections Manager at Oregon Tilth since August 2020. In addition, Kurt has been the Owner and Operations Manager of The Wingnuttery since 2010, focusing on the regional processing of native nuts. As a member of the Black Locust Collective since 2009, Kurt contributes to large-scale agroforestry and permaculture initiatives. Previously, Kurt worked as an Organic Certification Specialist at the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association from May 2016 to August 2020 and led projects at the Appalachian Staple Foods Collaborative from February 2011 to December 2016. Additional experience includes roles at Stalwart Construction, Athenian Construction, and Prairiedice Farm, as well as participation in community garden initiatives. Kurt holds a B.S. in Integrated EcoSocial Design from Gaia University, earned between 2008 and 2009.
