Doug Hanks

Doug Hanks is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in network development and automation across prominent technology companies. Currently serving as an Engineering Leader in Network Development at Amazon since May 2022, Doug is instrumental in enhancing the networking infrastructure for Amazon Prime. As an author for O'Reilly Media, Doug has penned four best-selling books on the Juniper MX and QFX series. Doug's previous roles include Engineering Leader at Facebook, Sr. Director of Engineering and Sr. Director of Product Management at Juniper Networks, and Head of Networking at LinkedIn, where contributions significantly advanced network automation and scalability. Additionally, Doug founded the Bay Area Juniper Users Group and has a rich background as Chief Network Architect at Gap Inc. and Network Architect at Blackhawk Network.
