Katy Lavallee

Katy Lavallee is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in web development and engineering roles. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at O'Reilly Media since March 2017, Katy focuses on building various components of the O'Reilly learning platform while supporting colleagues in the development process. Prior experience includes serving as a Software Development Engineer at Mercatalyst, where Katy contributed to the development of a website, and owning a web development business at Firelight Webware, providing both front-end and back-end solutions. Katy's early career began as a Web Developer at Farstar, transitioning from front-end to back-end development, primarily working with PHP and later implementing Django.
