Dr Soumya Awasthi

Dr. Soumya Awasthi is a prominent researcher and academic specializing in South Asia, military affairs, and foreign policy. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation since October 2024, Dr. Awasthi has a rich professional background that includes consultancy at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and extensive research experience with organizations such as Wikistrat and the Vivekananda International Foundation. With a PhD in Diplomacy and Disarmament from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Dr. Awasthi's academic journey also includes MPhil and MA degrees in Defence and Strategic Studies and Political Science, respectively, from Savitribai Phule Pune University and Delhi University.
