Dennis Cleary is an accomplished IT leader with extensive experience in information services and technology management within international organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Information Services at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) since June 2019, Dennis oversees IT strategy, delivery, and governance in a high-security environment. Prior roles include Head of ICT Delivery/Senior ICT Advisor at UNOPS, where responsibilities encompassed managing ICT development and support teams, advising on ICT strategy, and ensuring alignment with corporate priorities. A proven track record in software development is demonstrated through roles at UNDP, where Dennis led significant projects, including the UN Web Buy procurement portal, and earlier positions as a web application developer and freelance developer. Dennis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Media Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and a Masters of Science in Information Technology from the University of Liverpool.
