Process Development Engineer at Organogenesis

Alma Lorena Carrillo has a diverse work experience in various roles within the biotechnology and research fields. Alma Lorena began their career as a Research Intern at UCSD School of Medicine, where they developed aseptic cell culture techniques and improved research techniques. Alma Lorena then worked as a Peer Career Advisor at San Jose State University's Career Center, providing resume reviews and excellent customer service. Alma Lorena later interned at Jabil, conducting research experiments to characterize mechanical and surface properties of 3D printed samples. Alma Lorena then joined Genentech as a Bioprocess Technician, where they collaborated with technicians to produce bio-therapeutic medicine and operated production equipment in a cGMP Drug Substance facility. Currently, they are working at Organogenesis as a Process Development Engineer, where they are responsible for improving manufacturing procedures and collaborating with vendors and suppliers.

Alma Lorena Carrillo pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from San Jose State University. Alma Lorena completed their studies from 2017 to 2020.
