Vivek Raut

Vivek Raut, Ph.D. has an extensive work experience in various roles in the field of product development, biomedical engineering, and research. Vivek currently serves as the Director of Product Development at Organogenesis since April 2022. Prior to this, they held positions such as Associate Director and Senior Manager of Product Development at the same company from June 2019 to April 2022 and October 2016 to June 2019, respectively.

Before working at Organogenesis, Dr. Raut worked at Arteriocyte from October 2014 to October 2016 as the Principal Biomedical Engineer and from September 2012 to September 2014 as a Biomedical Engineer.

Vivek'searlier experience includes being a PhD Candidate at Cleveland Clinic from June 2005 to August 2012 and a Research Assistant at Clemson University from 2002 to 2004.

Dr. Raut began their career as a Project Engineer at Johnson Controls from 2001 to 2002.

Vivek Raut, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation Engineering with a focus on Biomedical Instrumentation from the University of Mumbai. Vivek then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Clemson University. During this period, they focused on Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. After completing their Master's, Vivek continued their education at Case Western Reserve University, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Engineering. In addition to their doctoral studies, they also conducted research at the Cleveland Clinic- Lerner Research Institute in the field of Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
