Ana-Maria Ionescu has worked in a variety of roles since 2018. Ana-Maria began as an Academic Representative for the UCL Department of Biochemical Engineering and a Summer Researcher working on the project "Spheroids: a new step towards personalized medicine" under the supervision of Professor Nicolas Szita and Dr. Marco Marques. In 2020, they worked as a Summer Researcher at the National Institute for Research and Development in Microtechnology Bucharest, where they were involved in activities such as synthesizing Nano-particles of Gold (AuNP) for amplifying signals generated by organic and inorganic materials, improving the production technology of Nano-particles of Gold (AuNP), analyzing samples using various techniques, collecting and analyzing data, and participating in the development and testing of an ethanol sensor based on ZnO doped with graphene. In 2021, they began working as an Associate Scientist and Summer Intern at Ori Biotech.
Ana-Maria Ionescu attended National College Mihai Viteazul Ploiesti, Romania from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Baccalaureate Degree. Ana-Maria then attended UCL from 2017 to 2021, where they earned an MEng Biochemical Engineering degree.
