Shige Sasaki has a diverse work experience spanning over several years.
Shige started their career in 1996 as a Sales Representative at Sanofi, where they excelled in key account sales and achieved top sales performance for five new product launches. Shige later took on the role of Business Development Manager, leading project management for new strategy implementation after an M&A and playing a key role in evaluating new pipelines in the Japanese market. Shige also developed a new e-Detailing system and led a sales force effectiveness project.
In 2011, Shige joined GE Healthcare as the APAC Marketing Director, where they managed business planning and implementation in the APAC region. Shige successfully accelerated global product launches, resulting in significant sales growth. Shige was also responsible for creating revenue from scratch for two licensed products and enhancing business-to-business relationships with over 100 contracted dealers.
Shige then joined the Japan Organization of Medical Device Development in 2016 as a Business Development Manager. Shige contributed to the organization by utilizing their expertise in business development.
In 2017, Shige became the Japan General Manager and CEO at Unchained Labs. During their tenure, they achieved notable revenue and booking improvements and significantly contributed to the rise of biologics R&D. Shige successfully completed several big projects, including multimillion-dollar deals with pharmaceutical companies and government labs, and expanded the company's presence in Japan by registering and opening a new office.
From 2019, Shige worked as a Principal at Force Lifescience LLC, where they provided corporate development for the introduction of life science products. Shige utilized their expertise in operation and market insight to deliver tangible value and assessed value propositions and business system efficiency through digitization.
Most recently, in 2021, Shige joined OriCiro Genomics K.K. as the COO/CBO, leading the company in various capacities.
