Rail Systems Engineer at Oriental Consultants

Gabriela Dobre has a diverse work experience in the field of rail systems engineering. Gabriela started their career at METROUL S.A. in 2000 as a part-time Signalling Design Engineer, where they reissued the As-built design for relay interlocking in three Metro depots. Additionally, they designed the interface between the relay interlocking and the electronic interlocking at the boundary of the depot.

Gabriela then joined Metrorex in 1983, initially as a Signalling Technician, where they performed preventive and corrective maintenance for relay interlocking and power supply, as well as troubleshooting. Gabriela also participated in putting two new stations into operation, Crangasi and Gara de Nord, by verifying route tables and checking As-built drawings. Later on, they transitioned to the role of Signalling Engineer, engaged in high-level troubleshooting for signalling systems and preventive/corrective signalling maintenance, along with monitoring project performance and work progress for three ATC re-signalling metro projects.

In 2014, Gabriela joined TYPSA as a Rail System Engineer, responsible for the construction supervision of the "Rehabilitation & Signalization of Irmak-Karabük-Zonguldak Railway Line" Project. Gabriela'sduties involved verifying basic signalling data design, test plans, and specifications, as well as conducting As-built quality control of site activities and preparing related reports.

Most recently, Gabriela worked at Oriental Consultants from 2017 as a Rail Systems Engineer. Gabriela supervised the construction, implementation, and integration of Contract CR 3, which included upgrading and constructing railway tracks and station facilities for the Gebze - Haydarpasa , Sirkeci - Halkali Commuter Rails and Railway Bosphorus Tube Crossing (MARMARAY) project.

Overall, Gabriela Dobre has amassed a wealth of experience in rail systems engineering through their various roles in different companies.

Gabriela Dobre's education history begins in 1979 when they attended Bucharest METRO LINE Technical College. Gabriela completed their high school education and obtained a degree as a signalling technician for railways. Gabriela then went on to attend the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 1983 to 1989, where they earned an Engineer's degree. Gabriela'sfield of study during this time focused on railroad and railway transportation.
