Shreya Thusoo has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering and research field. Shreya currently works as a Bridge Engineer at Oriental Consultants since April 2021. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant at Tokyo Institute of Technology from September 2019 to March 2021. Additionally, Shreya worked as an Engineer Intern at Takenaka Corporation from August 2018 to October 2018, where they were involved in dynamic structural analysis and preliminary design. Shreya also gained experience as a Summer Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Science in 2013, where they implemented a simulation algorithm for parameter optimization. In 2012, Shreya worked as a Summer Trainee at the Central Public Works Department.
Shreya Thusoo completed their education in the field of Civil Engineering. Shreya began their academic journey in 2010 at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. There, they pursued an Integrated Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Structural Engineering, which they completed in 2015. Following this, they enrolled at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering between 2015 and 2017. Shreya further proceeded to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the same institution in Civil Engineering, which they accomplished from 2017 to 2020.
