Lene Visdal-Johnsen

Lene Visdal-Johnsen has extensive work experience in the cosmetics industry. Lene started their career at Trino Therapeutics as a Principal Research Officer in 2005. In 2007, they joined Oriflame Cosmetics as a Research Scientist and later became a Senior Research Scientist. From 2012 to 2016, Lene worked as the New Ingredient and Skin Delivery Manager at Oriflame Cosmetics. In 2016, they took on the role of Senior Manager - Active Ingredients and Analytics until 2019. Lene then became the Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships until 2022. Currently, Lene holds the position of Director Swedish Research & Innovation Lab (SRI) at Oriflame Cosmetics.

Lene Visdal-Johnsen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmacognosy from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Lene also completed a postgraduate diploma in Quality Improvement and Statistics from Trinity College Dublin in 2002-2003. Prior to that, they acquired a Masters of Science degree in Phytochemistry from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology in 1999-2001, as part of their Candidatus Scientiarium (Cand. Scient.) degree in Natural Products Chemistry from the University of Bergen. Lene completed their Bachelor's degree, Cand. Mag., in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bergen in 1995-1999. Additionally, Lene obtained a certification in Strategic Partnerships from LinkedIn in 2019.
