Chamal Fernando

Chamal Fernando has gained extensive work experience in various roles and positions.

Chamal started their career in 2005 at B R De Silva & Co. as a Manager, where they worked until 2006. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as an accountant and auditor at BR De Silva & Co.

In 2010, Chamal joined BR De Silva & Company, where they continued to work in accounting and auditing roles until 2014. Chamal then joined DVL Calibration Technologies (Pty) Ltd as an Accountant from 2014 to 2016.

In 2015, Chamal worked as a Tax Consultant at H&R Block.

Since 2016, Chamal has been employed at Origani. Chamal started as a Financial Accountant and worked in this role until 2020. In 2021, they were promoted to the position of Global Group Finance Manager. Currently, they are serving as the Acting CEO of Origani.

Chamal Fernando completed their Associate's Degree in Accounting and Finance from the CPA Australia Program in 2014-2015. Before that, from 2000 to 2014, they studied at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration - Marketing. Additionally, Chamal attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka from 2000 to 2004 to further their education in Accounting and Finance.
