Barbara Wolff Dick 🏳️🌈

Barbara Wolff Dick has a diverse and extensive work experience. Barbara started their career freelancing as an Experience Designer, focusing on Information Architecture and Interaction Design. Barbara then co-founded and worked as a Lead Designer at Engage, a startup studio and business development company. During this time, they were involved in early-stage product design, developed MVPs and Betas, and established product development processes.

Barbara also worked as a Senior UX Designer and Partner at Quavio Projetos Web, where they were responsible for defining scope and developing the structure of websites and social network applications. Barbara later co-founded and served as a Strategic Program Manager at Universidade da Correria, where they helped develop educational and strategic plans.

In 2014, Barbara joined ThoughtWorks as the Global Head of Design, where they set the design standards and strategic focus for all offices. Barbara was responsible for building and managing design teams, growing new business, developing client relationships, and contributing to the development of digital and UX strategies.

Barbara later joined Loggi as a Design Director, where they continued to lead design initiatives until 2022. Barbara then became a Lecturer at Aprender Design, teaching about evolving design inside organizations and closing the gap between design and business.

Currently, Barbara works as a Design Director at Origin. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in design leadership, business strategy, user-centered design, and product development.

Barbara Wolff Dick obtained a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese Language and Literature from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2008. Barbara then pursued further education and earned an Associate's degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from the Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina between 2014 and 2018.

In 2019, Barbara enrolled in the Istituto Europeo di Design - IED São Paulo for their Graduate Studies in Strategic Design & Innovation. Barbara completed their studies in 2021. During that same year, they also took a Continued Education Course in Urban Studies & Smart Cities at the same institution. Additionally, Barbara engaged in a Continued Education Course in Systems Thinking offered by MIT xPRO in 2021.

Currently, Barbara is enrolled in a Master's degree program in Cognitive Science and Digital Design at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, which is expected to be completed between 2022 and 2024.
