Charlc Owori has a wealth of work experience in the legal field. Charlc began their career in 2012 as a Legal Intern at Ntende, Owori & Co. Advocates. In 2013, they were a Legal Intern at both Frederick Francis & Associates Advocates and Frederick Francis & Associates Capital Limited. From 2017 to 2021, they were an Associate at Shonubi, Musoke & Co. Advocates, where they worked in the Energy and Infrastructure and Corporate departments. In 2021, they became the Head Legal Company Secretary at Orijtech Uganda Limited, where they provided legal and regulatory advice and performed secretarial functions. Charlc also joined CNOOC International in 2021 as a Legal Advisor, and was part of the experienced legal team that achieved the Final Investment Decision with the Government of the Republic of Uganda in February 2022. In this role, they manage the litigation docket and routinely reviews and negotiates oil & gas industry contracts.
Charlc Owori has a diverse educational background. Charlc began their studies in 2005 at St. Mary's College, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Law from Makerere University in 2011-2015. In 2016-2017, they earned a Post Graduate Degree in Legal Studies, General from Law Development Center, Kampala, Uganda. Charlc then went on to earn a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax and Revenue Administration from East African School of Taxation, Kampala in 2015-2017. Most recently, they earned a Certificate in Oil & Gas; Contract negotiation from GLOMACS in 2021.
