John Taylor

John Taylor is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the electrical engineering sector. Currently serving as the Network Transformation Lead (Technical) at Orion NZ Ltd since October 2025, John previously held the position of Network Development Manager at MainPower New Zealand Limited, where responsibilities included identifying advancements in the North Canterbury electricity distribution network. Prior to this, John contributed to Mitton Electronet Ltd for over 14 years in various roles, culminating as a Team Lead, overseeing project delivery and spearheading significant design projects for Transpower. John's foundational education in physics and engineering was completed at the University of Canterbury, culminating in a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
