Liang Chen

Liang Chen has worked in the technology industry since 2003. Liang began their career as a Senior Instructor at Shanghai Milkyway Information Technology Service Ltd., where they taught MCSE and MCDBA official curriculum courses and provided customized training for enterprise clients. In 2007, they moved to EMC China as a Solution Architect, delivering architectural designs, strategies and plans for Microsoft SQL Server related solutions and projects. In 2010, they joined Dell EMC as an Advisory Consultant and Senior Consultant, leading data management and analytics projects and providing data modeling and processing advisory support in application projects. In 2017, they were appointed Apac Lead Solution Architect at Hitachi Vantara. In 2018, they became a Principal Sales Consultant at Oracle. In 2020, they joined Couchbase as a Principal Solutions Engineer. In 2022, they moved to Yugabyte as a Principal Solution Engineer and to Orion Governance as Technical Sales Director, APAC.

Liang Chen obtained an Associate's Degree in Mechatronics from Changzhou Institute of Technology between 1996 and 2000. Since then, Liang has obtained a number of certifications, including the Python 3 Programming Specialization from Coursera in May 2022, the YugabyteDB DBA Fundamentals Exam and YSQL Development Fundamentals Exam from Yugabyte in May 2022, the Couchbase Certified Professional Administrator from Couchbase in September 2021, the Couchbase Certified Associate Java Developer from Couchbase in October 2020, the YugabyteDB Basics of Distributed SQL Exam from Yugabyte in May 2022, the YugabyteDB Managed Basics from Yugabyte in April 2022, and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2020.
