Ilmari Parkkinen

Ilmari Parkkinen, PhD, is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Orion Corporation since October 2023. Prior to this role, Ilmari served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Doctoral Student at the University of Helsinki from January 2021 to March 2023, concluding doctoral research in the Division of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy. Academic experience includes a Doctoral Student position at the Neuroscience Center, University of Helsinki from August 2019 to June 2022, focusing on doctoral research, as well as several roles investigating proteostasis in midbrain dopaminergic neurons within the Institute of Biotechnology from May 2017 to June 2022. Earlier work includes positions as a Research Assistant and Master’s Thesis Worker in projects related to Parkinson's disease, quality assurance roles at ratiopharm Oy – Teva Finland, and practical internships across various pharmacy settings. Ilmari holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuropharmacology and a Master of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Helsinki.
