Jyri Wesanko

Jyri Wesanko has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jyri most recently worked as the Head of Compliance at Orion Corporation starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were the Director of Compliance and Ethics at Kesko - K-Group where they focused on various compliance programs. Jyri also served as the Group Ethics and Compliance Officer at Telia Company and had responsibilities regarding the company's global anti-corruption program. Jyri also has experience in compliance and risk management roles at Nets Group, where they were responsible for compliance support in multiple countries. Earlier in their career, they worked in various IT roles at Elisa Oyj, including Contract Manager, Development Manager, and Project Manager.

Jyri Wesanko's education history begins in 1996 when they attended the National Defense Academy and obtained a bachelor's degree in Aviation. Jyri then pursued further education in the field of Financial Law at the University of Eastern Finland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Administrative Sciences between 1999 and 2009.

In 2000, Wesanko also studied in the Master of Science in Technology program at LUT University, focusing on Telecommunications and Information Technology. Afterward, from 2008 to 2010, they attended the Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, specializing in Corporate Security Management through the Turvallisuusjohdon koulutusohjelma 10.

Later, Wesanko further expanded their knowledge by enrolling at the University of Helsinki, where they pursued a Master of International and Comparative Law degree in the field of International Business Law between 2018 and 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Wesanko obtained the CCEP-I (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional - International) certification from the Compliance Certification Board in December 2016.
