Niko Essen

Niko Essen has extensive experience in IT leadership, currently serving as the Head of ICT Infrastructure Services and IT Business Partner for Facility Management at Orion Pharma since June 2024, overseeing ICT infrastructure and end-user services for approximately 4,000 employees across over 30 countries. Prior to this role, Niko was the Head of IT for Infrastructure & End User Computing at Paulig Group, managing services for around 2,500 employees in 13 countries, and also held positions such as Head of Department for IT Infrastructure at Meyer Turku, with responsibility for IT infrastructure supporting over 5,000 users. Niko's career began at Bayer, where responsibilities included IT Operations & Infrastructure Manager and a variety of technical roles, including Technical Architect in a regional team serving the EMEA region. Niko holds a Master of Science in Technology with a focus on Computer Software Engineering from the University of Turku.
