Michael Lewis has had a diverse range of roles in human resources. Their most recent position was as a Human Resources Generalist at Orium since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Open Farm Inc. from April 2021 to September 2022, first as a People & Culture Coordinator and then as a People & Culture Generalist. Michael Lewis completed their education at George Brown College from 2012 to 2015, earning an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources. In addition to their formal education, Michael has obtained several certifications. These include completing the Diversity and Inclusion Foundations Course at the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion in February 2021, obtaining a Mental Health First Aid certification from the Mental Health Commission of Canada in November 2020, completing an Indigenous Protocol Consultation - How to be an Ally with Indigenous People course at Bear Standing Tall & Associates in September 2018, achieving an Articulate Storyline Certification from Harper Burnham and Associates in February 2018, and obtaining a Managing Employee Terminations certification from Workplace Law Consulting Inc. in June 2022.
