Mauricio Negri

Mauricio Negri PhD currently serves as the High Performance Director for Orlando City SC, a position held since June 2021, during which the team secured the 2021 MLS NEXT U17 Championship. Concurrently, Mauricio is a Full Professor at INOT (Instituto Nacional de Ortopedia y Traumatología) since January 2014 and has been the CEO of sport control USA from October 2019 to November 2024. Prior roles include Coordinator of Neuromuscular Research and Exercise Physiology Laboratories at Instituto Nacional de Traumatologia e Ortopedia and Scientific Coordinator for Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama’s sports science team. Mauricio has contributed to multiple championship wins across various Brazilian football clubs and served as a sports scientist with the Brazilian Football Confederation, participating in two World Cups. Academic qualifications include ongoing postdoctoral studies in Sport Science at Universidade de Coimbra and a Doctorate in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
