Elizabeth Brendel Horn is an Associate Professor of Theatre at the University of Central Florida since August 2015, where Elizabeth creates and leads diverse instructional formats for undergraduate and graduate students, emphasizing community-based arts initiatives and High Impact Practices. Concurrently, as Program Manager and Theatre Director for Orlando Family Stage, Elizabeth has initiated significant community programs such as "Act Out Justice" and "Mind Matters," focusing on social justice and social-emotional learning through theater for high school students. Previous experience includes serving as an Instructional Facilitator for Orange County Public Schools, instructing students in English and Theatre, and roles in editorial capacities for organizations focused on theatre for young audiences. Elizabeth holds an MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences from the University of Central Florida and a BFA in Musical Theatre from Brenau University.
