Angel Harris

Angel Harris serves as a Judge for the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court, Section L, since November 2020 and held the title of Judge-Elect prior to that. As a co-founder of Stage Presents Theatre, Angel Harris has contributed to promoting multicultural perspectives in the Lake Charles community since May 2013. Previous legal experience includes roles as Senior Counsel at The Justice Collaborative, staff attorney at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the ACLU's Capital Punishment Project, Calcasieu Parish Public Defender's Office, and Orleans Public Defenders. Angel Harris earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Hampton University.
