Simone Levine currently serves as a judge at the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court and holds the position of Assistant District Attorney at the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office, where Simone is a Major Case Prosecutor. Previously, Simone was the Executive Director of Court Watch NOLA, overseeing a volunteer organization that monitored local courts, and worked as the Deputy Police Monitor for the Office of the Independent Police Monitor. Additionally, Simone practiced as an Assistant Attorney General in New York, focusing on public integrity and consumer fraud cases, and had roles in the New York State Senate and Assembly, negotiating and drafting extensive legislation on various legal topics. Simone's legal education includes a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, complemented by a BA in Political Science and East Asian Studies from McGill University.
