Mike McDonagh has extensive work experience in finance and auditing. Mike started their career at KPMG Ireland in 1992 as an Auditor and worked there until 1996. Mike then joined Ford Motor Company as an Internal Auditor and later became a Finance Manager. In 2001, they moved to Danone, where they worked as a Financial Controller and eventually became the Finance Director until 2016. During their time at Danone, they also served as a Non-Executive Director at Glenisk from 2014 to 2016. Currently, Mike is the Global Finance Director for the Ornua Ingredients Division at Ornua.
Mike McDonagh has a strong education background in accounting. Mike first attended University College Dublin from 1988 to 1991, earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting. In 1991, they went on to pursue a Master of Accountancy degree at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, which they completed in 1992. The following year, from 1992 to 1995, McDonagh enrolled at Chartered Accountants Ireland, where they obtained a professional qualification in accounting as a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA). In 1997 and 1998, they further expanded their expertise by obtaining a certification in Internal Audit from the Institute of Internal Auditors. Overall, McDonagh's education reflects a commitment to enhancing their knowledge and skills in the field of accounting.
