Nuria Costa (Espriu)

Nuria (Espriu) Costa is an experienced professional in the dairy industry, currently serving as a Product Development Manager focused on innovation at the Irish Dairy Board since November 2010. Nuria's expertise encompasses managing product development projects, including cheese and powdered dairy ingredients, ensuring compliance with project briefs through laboratory, pilot, and commercial scale analysis. A PhD in Food Science with emphasis on dairy chemistry and microbiology was obtained at University College Cork/Teagasc from 2006 to 2011. Previous roles include a UREKA fellowship focused on microbe-host interactions, an enzymology internship in Portugal, and a Quality Control and Assurance Manager position in Spain, implementing HACCP and traceability standards. Nuria holds a Diploma in Project Management from the Institute of Project Management Ireland and various degrees in Food Control, Technology, and Biotechnology.
