Rolf von Ascheraden

Rolf von Ascheraden has extensive work experience in the food and beverage industry. Rolf most recently worked at Ornua as the Head of Global Foods R&D. Before that, they held various senior positions at PepsiCo, including Senior Director of Europe Beverages R&D and Senior Director of Europe Sub-Saharan Africa Beverages R&D. Rolf was responsible for managing innovation, productivity, and sustainability plans, as well as technical brand maintenance and business continuity. Prior to PepsiCo, Rolf worked as a Technical Manager at Tiger Brands, where they focused on process optimization and quality improvement. Rolf also has experience in the automotive industry as a Technical Manager at ZF Lemforder Corporation. Earlier in their career, they worked at Nola Foods Industries and CSIR in research and development roles.

Rolf von Ascheraden has a diverse education history with a strong focus on food science and technology. In 1981, they completed their Matriculation at St Pauls College, where they joined the Matriculation Board. Following this, they attended Stellenbosch University from 1987 to 1990, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Food Science and Chemistry. Rolf further pursued their educational journey at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria in 1991, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree specializing in Food Science and Technology. Additionally, Rolf von Ascheraden has engaged in professional development, earning a certification in Organizational Leadership.
