Louisa Kessi

Senior Researcher in Document Analysis & Applied Mathematics at ORPALIS

Born in Ivory Coast, West Africa, Louisa Kessi is a machine learning and applied mathematics scientist who specializes in the fields of steganography and digitization. Louisa has worked extensively in document analysis and image processing, and their research has been featured in numerous publications.

Kessi began their career as a researcher at ITESOFT-Yooz Group in 2013, where they worked on developing new methods and algorithms for the company's document management software. In 2015, they were invited to expose their research work at Kyoto University as a visiting researcher. The following year, they were invited to Disney Zurich Research Lab as a visiting researcher.

In 2018, Kessi joined the Laboratoire Informatique, Image et Interaction (L3i) at the University of La Rochelle as a machine learning and applied mathematics researcher under the European project FEDER SeAD. At L3i, they worked on developing new methods and algorithms for the project Sead, which focuses on the digitization of secured diploma copies.

Kessi currently works as a senior researcher in document analysis and applied mathematics at ORPALIS.

Dr. Louisa Kessi is a computer scientist with a focus on machine learning and computer vision. Louisa earned their doctorate from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon in France. Prior to that, they earned a master's degree in electrical engineering and signal processing from Mouloud MAMMERI University of Tizi-Ouzou in Algeria. Louisa also holds a license degree in electrical engineering and electronics from the same school.
