Neil Hamel

Neil Hamel is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in innovation and leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Managing Director of Ørsted Ventures and Head of Ventures & Open Innovation at Ørsted Americas since June 2020, Neil previously held the position of Associate Vice President of Innovation at FM Global. Their career also includes key roles such as Rhode Island Project Lead at MassChallenge, Co-Founder and Head of Product & Operations at ShineOn, and Director of Marketing at Teespring. Neil's background in innovation began at IPG Mediabrands as Director of Branded Entertainment, and Neil further developed skills at Initiative as Manager of Innovation and Hangout Industries as a Product Manager on the founding team. Neil holds a BA with a double major in Public Policy and Business Economics from Brown University and an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
