Derek Donegan, MD, MBA

Derek Donegan, MD, MBA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Derek currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System, a role they have been in since July 2021. Derek Donegan, MD, MBA has an extensive education history. Derek completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy from Ithaca College between 1995 and 1999. Prior to that, they attended Malvern Preparatory School from 1990 to 1995.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Derek pursued post-baccalaureate pre-medical coursework at Temple University from 2000 to 2001. Derek then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Thomas Jefferson University, where they studied medicine from 2002 to 2006.

In 2017, Derek furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Fox School of Business at Temple University, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. During the same year, they also attended The Wharton School for an Executive Education program called "The Leadership Edge: Strategies for the New Leader."

In addition to their education, Derek has obtained certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, specifically the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons (ABOS), although the specific details of when and where they obtained this certification are not provided.
