Physician Assistant/app Sports Lead at OrthoCarolina

Margaret Lynch has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and education fields. Margaret started their career at Davidson College in 2000 as an Athletic Trainer, where they worked until 2003. Margaret then moved to Appalachian State University as an Athletic Trainer from 2003 to 2004. From 2004 to 2010, they worked at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools as a Head Athletic Trainer and Teacher. In 2011, they joined Sentara Healthcare as a PRN Athletic Trainer for a year. Since 2013, Margaret has been working at OrthoCarolina, initially as a Physician Assistant/PA Student Coordinator. Margaret also served as a Physician Assistant and is currently the APP Sports Lead.

Margaret Lynch pursued their Doctor of Medical Science Fellowship at the University of Lynchburg from 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sports Science at the University of Richmond from 1996 to 2000. Margaret also holds a Teaching Certificate in Health Education from Appalachian State University and a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) in Health Education from East Carolina University, though the specific years of completion are unknown.
