Michael Miranda

Michael Miranda is an experienced orthopedic professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at the University of Connecticut Department of Orthopedic Surgery since July 2015 and as an Orthopedic Surgeon at Orthopedic Associates of Hartford since August 1994. Additionally, Michael holds the position of Director of Orthopedic Trauma at Hartford Hospital and has been a Senior Trustee at the AO Foundation since June 2001, previously serving as the International Chair of Community Development. Michael's expertise includes a committee member role in the Minimally Invasive Expert Group at the AO Technical Commission from April 2006 to July 2010. Early research experience includes a researcher role at the National Institutes of Health in April 1984. Michael's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine in Surgery from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and specialized training in Orthopedics from the University of Connecticut Orthopedic Residency. Additional training includes education at Hannover School of Medicine, Cantonspital Chur, and Allegheny General Hospital, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northeastern University.
