Richard Elam has extensive work experience in technology and operations roles. Richard is currently the Head of Technology and Operations at Orthosnap Corporation, where they oversee the design and development of web and mobile applications. Richard advises on technology decisions and architecture, and maintains and reports the product roadmap to stakeholders.

Prior to their current role, Richard was the Founder/Chief Architect of Eat/Feed, an extension to existing social media platforms centered around cooking. Richard built a business plan for the initial 18 month period, including costs for going to market and expected revenue.

Richard also worked at MiMedia, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering. In these roles, they were responsible for overhauling the architecture for the next generation of the MiMedia cloud storage platform, restructuring development teams, and designing a media-streaming solution. Richard developed central web-service hub and client systems for various platforms.

Before joining MiMedia, Richard worked at Barnes and Noble.com as the Director of Application Services and Manager of Order Path Systems. Richard managed multiple development teams, supported enterprise-critical applications, and collaborated with business owners to identify opportunities and assess risk in the product roadmap. Richard also designed and developed systems for checkout, discounting, and customer account management.

Richard's earlier work experience includes roles as a Senior Programmer Analyst at Continuum Health Partners and St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital. In these positions, they developed desktop and intranet applications using various technologies and performed statistical analysis on research data.

Richard Elam earned their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Purchase College, SUNY, completing their studies from 1986 to 1990.
