SJ Lee

CEO at Orum Therapeutics

SJ Lee began their work experience in 2003 as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University, and this role lasted until 2005. From 2005 to 2010, they worked at LG Life Sciences, initially as an R&D Strategic Planning Scientist and later as the Deputy General Manager of R&D Strategic Planning. During their time at LG, they were involved in various projects, including structure-based drug design and introducing new screening methods. They also presented at industry conferences and conducted portfolio analysis.

In 2010, SJ Lee joined Sanofi as the Korea R&D Leader, and later became the Head of Research for Asia Pacific R&D from 2013 to 2016.

Since 2016, SJ Lee has been working as the CEO of Orum Therapeutics. In 2020, they also took on the role of Adjunct Professor at KAIST, which will conclude in 2022.

SJ Lee has a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley. They also hold a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Yonsei University. In addition to their formal education, SJ Lee has obtained several certifications. They completed the "Fundamentals of Reinforcement Learning" course from Coursera in May 2023. They also completed the following Coursera courses: "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization, and Optimization" in July 2020, "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" in May 2020, and "Machine Learning" in April 2020.
