Anton Booysen has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the energy industry. Anton started their career at Sasol Synfuels in 1993, where they held multiple positions, including Area Leader for Production Gas Circuit, Synthol, Benfield, Gas Reforming, and Catalyst Preparation. During their time at Sasol Synfuels, they successfully reduced production losses and managed operations within budget.

Booysen then moved on to become the Operations Manager for the Gas Circuit at Sasol Synfuels, where they were responsible for the operation and maintenance of high-temperature Fischer-Tropsch production units. Anton also served as the Operations Manager for Gas Production, where they turned around negative business trends and reduced losses.

In 2012, Booysen joined Oltin Yo'l GTL as the Operations Director, providing strategic leadership and direction during the project's EPC phase. Anton played a crucial role in the successful completion of operations for the new GTL plant in Uzbekistan.

Booysen later joined Sasol Synfuels Operations as the Vice President of Operations, overseeing operational functions from 2016 to 2019. Anton then joined SAFRIPOL as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for leading an expansive team across various departments.

Currently, Booysen serves as the Chief Operations Officer at ORYX GTL. Overall, their work experience demonstrates strong leadership skills and expertise in operations management within the energy sector.

Anton Booysen obtained their B Eng Chem degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria in the years 1988 to 1991. Anton then pursued an Honours in Chemical Engineering degree from the same institution, completing it from 1994 to 1996. Afterward, they enrolled at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they earned a Masters in Business Leadership with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General, from 1997 to 2000.
