David Chernek

David Chernek has extensive experience in legal and compliance roles. David is currently the General Counsel/Head of Legal at OS National, LLC since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer/Corporate Secretary at Cascade Financial Services from November 2016 to March 2022. David also served as the General Counsel at LoanMe, Inc. from August 2015 to November 2016, where they had various responsibilities including creating and implementing compliance management systems, advising on marketing programs, and participating in product development. Before LoanMe, Inc., they were the General Counsel at Prospect Mortgage, LLC from June 2009 to February 2015, where they led a restructuring of the legal organization and successfully implemented new legal requirements. David also worked as the Head of Litigation at Indymac Bank from 2006 to 2008, and as a shareholder at Heller Ehrman from 1996 to 2006, specializing in complex litigation. David Chernek began their legal career as an associate at Latham & Watkins from September 1990 to February 1996.

David Chernek attended Boston College School of Law from 1987 to 1990, where they obtained their JD degree in the field of Law. Prior to that, from 1981 to 1985, they pursued their undergraduate studies at UCLA, graduating with a BA degree in English.
