Raymond W. Red Corn III

Raymond W. Red Corn III served through the formative early years of the 1st Osage Nation Congress, as Second Speaker in the 2nd Congress, and as Speaker of the 3rd. Elected as Assistant Principal Chief in 2014 and again in 2018, Assistant Principal Chief Red Corn has focused on organizational issues, agriculture, and technology, including the creation of Skyway 36. At Principal Chief Standing Bear's instruction, he has led efforts to acquire and plan development of new properties, prioritize acquisitions, and work cooperatively with local governments.

Red Corn has been a member of the Pawhuska Committee since 2006. All four of Raymond’s sons participate in the I-lon-schka. Raymond is the son of Raymond and Waltena Red Corn of the Pawhuska Indian Village.

The Red Corn family values education. All of Assistant Chief’s sons received Bachelor’s degrees from Kansas University and have continued their educations; Ryan with a degree in Fine Arts, working on an MFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts, Jon with a Masters in Architecture and an MBA in Business from OSU, Alex with a PhD in Education from Kansas State and Raymond M. Red Corn with a PhD in Engineering from Purdue. Inspired by his sons, Raymond went back to school part-time in 2010, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a Management emphasis.
