Warren Hougland

SVP, Community Action Services at OSCEOLA COUNTY COUNCIL ON AGING INC

Since the age of sixteen, Warren has volunteered in senior services. In the first 5 years with the Osceola Council on Aging, he has held the position of Administrator of a 100 bed assisted living facility, managed a congestive heart failure self-management pilot project, and moved into the position as Health Services Division Manager with the Osceola County Council on Aging. In the past 14 years, Mr. Hougland has overseen the transition of Community Action services into the Council on Aging and lead in the development of the Community Services Division of the organization. Mr. Hougland directs over eight community service programs that focus on self-sufficiency and independence for seniors/low-income families and five health service programs that provide healthcare for indigent patients. He has sat on multiple boards that focus on the availability of appropriate health and social services in the community of Osceola County. For the past eleven years, Mr. Hougland has chaired the Emergency Food and Shelter Program Board for Osceola County and currently sits as the Vice-Chair for the Florida Community Action Association. As an advocate dedicated to providing services for disadvantaged families and individuals, Mr. Hougland constantly engages in ongoing community partnerships that foster and enable independence and self-sufficiency.
