James Scanlan

James Scanlan has over two decades of dedicated service in law enforcement and the military. Currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff and K-9 Handler at the Osceola County Sheriff's Office since September 2010, James has demonstrated a strong commitment to public safety. Prior military experience includes roles as an Instructor and Observer/Controller with the 3-347th RTB and various tank command positions within armored cavalry units, culminating in a career that began as an Abrams Tank Driver. An alumnus of H C Wilcox Regional Vocational Technical High School, James holds a High School Diploma in Machine Tool Technology and is currently pursuing further education at Polk State College.
