David Correia

David Correia, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. David started their career at Grant Thornton LLP, where they gained experience in various aspects of accounting, including auditing, tax return preparation, and financial advisory services. David then joined Merrill Lynch Canada as a Manager, responsible for treasury and banking functions. Afterward, they worked at Sherritt International Corporation as a Manager, overseeing planning and budgeting activities. David further advanced their career at Bank of Montreal as a Senior Manager, focusing on performance management. At Laurentian Bank, they held the position of Senior Manager Finance. Subsequently, they joined Munich Re as the VP of Accounting & Compliance, leading a team and overseeing accounting operations, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. Currently, David is employed at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada as the Director of Accounting Policy, where they are responsible for project management, developing guidance, and representing the organization internationally. Throughout their career, David has received recognition for their outstanding work, including a Presidents Award and a Teamwork Award.

In 1995, David obtained their Chartered Accountant (CA) designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
