Michele Bridges has a strong background in the financial sector, with significant experience in various roles. Michele began their career in 2002 at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada as the Director of Finance. Michele then went on to become the Managing Director of Finance and Corporate Planning from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, they joined the Government of Bermuda as the Ministry Comptroller. Michele returned to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada in 2014, first as the Chief Financial Officer and then as the Chief Human Resources Officer from June 2019.
Michele Bridges holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from McGill University, which they obtained in 1986. Michele then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Accounting and Finance at the University of Windsor, completing it in 1988. In 2015, they obtained a Management Certificate in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. Michele also holds certifications as a Certified Human Resources Professional from the Human Resources Professional Association, obtained in 2015, and as a Chartered Professional Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario), obtained in 1997. Prior to their university education, Michele obtained a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Pure and Applied Sciences from Champlain College Saint-Lambert.
