Renée Chen

Renée Chen's work experience includes the following roles:

- Managing Director, Risk Assessment & Intervention Hub at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada (starting from October 2022)

- Managing Director, Accounting Policy Division at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada (from July 2019 to October 2022)

- Director, Accounting Policy Division at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada (from 2010 to October 2022)

- Senior Accounting Advisor, Accounting Policy Division at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada (from 2004 to 2010)

Prior to joining the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada, Renée Chen worked as a Manager, Derivative Reporting at RBC Financial Group (from 2000 to 2004) and as a Sr. Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (from 1996 to 2000).

Renée Chen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree in Accounting from Queen's University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Cambridge Fintech and Regulatory Innovation from Cambridge Judge Business School. Renée is also pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification and the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) designations from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario).
