Jeljer Zijlstra

Jeljer Zijlstra currently serves as the Secretary of Doarpsmûne Reduzum since March 2013, where efforts focus on promoting sustainably generated local energy, achieving a membership of 540 in June 2021 and overseeing the initiation of a new village windmill. Additionally, Jeljer has been a Geography Teacher at OSG Singelland since August 2008, instructing students across grades 1 to 6, while also participating in projects such as guiding the Solarteam Drachtster Lyceum and organizing a work week in Prague. Educational qualifications include a Master in Cultural Geography and Master of Education from the University of Groningen (2006-2007) and a Bachelor of Science from NHL Hogeschool (2000-2005).
