Iliya Lubeznov

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Team Lead at OSI Maritime Systems

Iliya Lubeznov has a diverse work experience in mechanical design engineering and research. Iliya started their career in 2005 as a GE T700 Jet Engine Technical Lead and Sustaining Specialist for the Israeli Air Force. After that, they worked as a Mechanical-Materials Testing Engineer and R&D Engineer in the Nano Mechanical Research Center at Technion R&D Ltd. During this time, they performed conceptual design and manufacturing design, as well as mechanical testing using ASME standards.

In 2010, Iliya joined Avigdor Industries Ltd. as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they were involved in designing and manufacturing sheet metal stands, interactive kiosks, and aluminum modular structures. Iliya also provided manufacturing services to other companies.

From 2016 to 2017, Iliya worked as a Freelance Mechanical Engineer, taking on various projects on a self-employed basis. Iliya then joined Vanrx Pharmasystems as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they contributed to the development of technologically advanced sterile filling solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.

In 2020, Iliya joined Genesis Advanced Technology as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they were involved in prototyping new technologies for various sectors including oil and gas, clean energy, medical, automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, and robotics.

In 2021, Iliya moved to Motorola Solutions as a Mechanical Design Engineer, specializing in video security and access control. Iliya led the design activities for various jigs and fixtures for mass production, including optical calibration and verification.

Currently, Iliya is working at OSI Maritime Systems as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and Team Lead. Iliya'sresponsibilities include leading the design of new generation integrated bridge systems for high standards of shock and vibration, as well as design for human factor engineering and IP rating.

Iliya Lubeznov obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they received a High School Diploma in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology/Technician from The Israeli Air Force Technological College from 1999 to 2005. Iliya has also obtained various certifications in areas such as 3D printing, additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, design for consumer electronics, mold design, ISO 9001:2015 management, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and SOLIDWORKS training from institutions such as LinkedIn, SAI Global, and SAE International.
