Jean-David Péquignot

Jean-David Péquignot has over 20 years of work experience in the financial industry. Jean-David is currently the Managing Director and Responsible Officer - Head of OSL Digital Securities Ltd at OSL, a digital asset and fintech company. In this role, they oversee the first SFC-licensed Virtual Asset Trading Platform in Hong Kong, providing digital asset execution, custody, and brokerage services to institutional clients.

Jean-David also serves as the Managing Director - Global Head of Markets at OSL, responsible for the global trading and sales business for flow and non-flow products, ensuring access to deep liquidity pools and institutional-grade coverage.

Prior to joining OSL, Jean-David worked as a Strategic Advisor at FX HedgePool, where they contributed their expertise in peer-to-peer FX swaps matching for passive currency hedgers.

Jean-David's previous experience includes roles at Westpac Institutional Bank as the Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Global Markets Hong Kong, as well as responsibilities in fixed income, currency, and commodity global markets distribution, debt capital markets, structured commodity finance, and more.

Before that, they worked at Barclays Investment Bank in the Macro Derivatives, Trading & Sales division and the FICC Structured Derivatives, Risk Solutions Group. Jean-David also gained experience at Deutsche Bank, Allianz Suisse Versicherungs-Gesellschaft AG, UBS, Vontobel Asset Management, GSX.com, Inc., and Cantrade Privatbank in various analytical and managerial roles.

Throughout their career, Jean-David Péquignot has demonstrated expertise in financial markets, trading, sales, and structured solutions, making him a valuable asset in the industry.

Jean-David Péquignot's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from the Imperial College Business School. Additionally, they hold a Certificate of Executive Leadership in Executive Management and Development (CEMD) from the AGSM @ UNSW Business School, which is part of the University of New South Wales. Jean-David also pursued studies at the University of St.Gallen, focusing on Economics & Business Administration with a major in Finance & Capital Markets.

In terms of additional certifications, Jean-David obtained a specialization in Fintech: Foundations & Applications of Financial Technology from The Wharton School in April 2021. Jean-David also earned a Professional Certificate in Blockchain Fundamentals: Blockchain Technology and Cryptocurrencies from the University of California, Berkeley in February 2021. Furthermore, they obtained the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation from the CAIA Association in May 2015.
