Thomas Aldred has extensive work experience in various industries and roles.
Thomas started their career in 2011 as the Owner of Bitesize Promotion, a freelance iPhone and iPad application marketing agency. Thomas successfully established their own business by providing consulting and marketing services to increase app sales.
In 2012, they co-founded the Institute of Opinion, a political blog, where they managed a team of over 30 contributors, delegated roles to editors, and wrote content. Thomas also revamped the website and collaborated with think-tanks and organizations to expand the audience.
In the same year, Thomas joined London Medway Airport as a Director. Thomas contributed to the development of plans and reports for a major international airport project, addressing the aviation capacity problem in the UK.
In 2012, Thomas also started their own venture, Aldred Applications, where they developed iPhone applications and released them in the Apple App Store. Thomas'seducational apps received thousands of downloads and helped many students.
In 2014, Thomas had a summer internship at PwC UK, gaining valuable experience in a professional setting.
Starting from 2015, they joined PwC UK as an Associate in the Assurance practice, working on audit teams for listed clients and large UK subsidiaries of US corporates. Thomas was recognized with the Milton Keynes People's Choice Award for their outstanding performance and support to their Peer Group.
Thomas progressed to the role of Senior Associate and later Manager at PwC UK. Thomas achieved top rankings in exams and received prestigious awards, including the Railton prize and the Milton Keynes Senior Partner Award.
Since 2021, Thomas has been working at Osler Diagnostics, a UK-based diagnostics company. Thomas initially joined as a Finance Manager and later became the Head of Finance. Osler's aim is to provide lab-quality diagnostics globally through their portable lab, the Osler Origin.
Thomas's work experience highlights their expertise in finance, management, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, and team leadership.
Thomas Aldred attended the University of Bath from 2012 to 2015, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics. In January 2019, they obtained a certification from the Association of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW).
