Brian Reed

Brian Reed has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the utilities and engineering industry. Brian began their career as an Electronics Engineer at Analysis & Technology, Fleet Support Center, where they designed and implemented engineering changes for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Brian also performed field installations and tested undersea systems.

Reed then joined SPX Corp., Edwards Signaling as an Applications Engineer, providing technical support for field sales and end users. Brian designed reference guides and technical documents to assist customers.

Continuing with SPX Corp., Edwards Signaling, they transitioned to the role of Product Manager, managing product lines and acting as a technical liaison for fire alarm and messaging devices. Brian identified product gaps and proposed new solutions.

At Osmose Utilities Services, Inc., Reed served as a Product Engineer, offering sales and technical support for various products and services, including pole restoration and woodpecker damage repair. Brian developed and evaluated new products, conducted training sessions, and participated in trade shows.

Within the same company, they advanced to Director-level positions. As Director of Sales, they focused on direct sales to electric utilities and telecommunication companies, increasing sales, profits, and market share. As Director of Technical Sales and Engineering Services, they guided sales and technical support efforts for services such as joint use and pole replacements, contributing to growth, revenue, and profitability goals. Brian Reed attended Clarkson University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering with a field of study in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Following this, from 1996 to 2000, they pursued further education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned an MBA with a field of study in Management.
